The Army Corps of Engineers is preparing to dredge the Saginaw River for navigational purposes and is preparing a disposal facility in Zilwaukee Township for dredged materials. The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality will conduct an informational meeting and collect public comment on the project at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Saginaw Valley State University, Performing Arts Recital Hall. Parking is available in lot J1. The DEQ will collect comment through March 7. A fact sheet and information is available at www.michigan.gov/dewater or by calling (517) 335-4201.
